By accessing or using NyayGuru, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
1. About NyayGuru
NyayGuru is an AI-powered legal information platform designed to help users understand Indian laws, legal procedures, and general legal concepts. The Platform provides general legal information only and does not provide legal advice.
NyayGuru is not a law firm, does not provide professional legal services, and does not replace consultation with a qualified advocate.
2. Acceptance and Eligibility
By using NyayGuru, you represent that:
- You are at least 18 years old, or using the Platform under supervision of a legal guardian.
- You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
- You will use the Platform only for lawful purposes.
We reserve the right to refuse or suspend access to anyone at our discretion.
3. Scope of Services
NyayGuru provides, among other features:
- AI-powered legal information chat based on Indian law
- Document upload, storage, and analysis (PDF, DOC, DOCX, etc.)
- OCR for scanned documents
- Chat history, notes, collections, and organizational tools
- Optional web-based legal research features
- Free and paid subscription plans with usage limits
Features may vary by plan and may be modified, added, or removed at any time.
4. No Legal Advice & No Lawyer–Client Relationship
Important Disclaimer:
- Information provided by NyayGuru is general legal information, not legal advice.
- No lawyer–client relationship is created between you and NyayGuru, its founders, developers, or any contributors.
- AI-generated responses may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate.
- You must consult a qualified advocate for advice specific to your situation.
Reliance on any information provided by NyayGuru is entirely at your own risk.
5. User Accounts & Authentication
To access certain features, you may be required to create an account using your email or other authentication methods.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
- Be responsible for all activity under your account
We are not liable for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to safeguard your credentials.
6. User Content & Uploaded Materials
6.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of documents, text, and files you upload (“User Content”).
6.2 License to NyayGuru
By uploading User Content, you grant NyayGuru a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, analyze, and display such content solely for providing the Platform’s services to you.
6.3 Responsibility
You confirm that:
- You have the right to upload the content
- The content does not violate any law, confidentiality obligation, or third-party rights
NyayGuru does not review uploaded documents for legality or accuracy.
7. Free and Paid Plans
NyayGuru operates on a freemium model.
7.1 Free Plan
- Limited usage, features, storage, and history retention
- Subject to change at any time
7.2 Paid Subscriptions
- Paid plans unlock additional features and higher usage limits
- Pricing and features are described on the Pricing page
- Fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable, except where required by law
7.3 Credits & Limits
- Usage may be governed by credit limits, daily limits, or feature restrictions
- Unused credits may expire as per plan terms
We reserve the right to modify pricing, limits, or plans with reasonable notice.
8. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use NyayGuru for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the AI systems
- Upload malicious code, copyrighted material without permission, or sensitive personal data of third parties
- Use the Platform to impersonate others or spread misinformation
Violation may result in suspension or termination.
9. Intellectual Property
All platform content, including UI, branding, software, AI prompts, and system outputs (excluding User Content), is the intellectual property of NyayGuru or its licensors.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or exploit any part of the Platform without prior written consent.
10. Availability & Modifications
NyayGuru is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee:
- Continuous availability
- Error-free operation
- Accuracy or completeness of responses
We may suspend or modify the Platform for maintenance, upgrades, or legal reasons.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
NyayGuru, its founders, developers, affiliates, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from:
- Use or inability to use the Platform
- Reliance on AI-generated information
- Loss of data, profits, or opportunities
Your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the Platform.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NyayGuru and its affiliates from any claims, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Platform
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your infringement of third-party rights
13. Third-Party Services & Links
The Platform may reference or link to third-party services or content. NyayGuru does not control or endorse such services and is not responsible for their content or practices.
14. Privacy & Data Protection
Your use of NyayGuru is subject to our Privacy Policy, which governs how we collect, use, and protect your data.
By using the Platform, you consent to such data practices.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if:
- You violate these Terms
- Required by law or regulatory authorities
- Your use poses risk to the Platform or other users
Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases.
16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan, unless otherwise required by law.
